Privacy Policy

Last updated July 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Digital Strategy Insights ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with Reputation Pulse (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account or organization.
  • Business information — the businesses you add or audit, including business name, location, website, and related profile links. When you request a free audit, we collect your name, email, and the business details you submit.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers; we receive limited billing details and subscription status from Stripe.
  • Communications — messages you send us and your preferences.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data — log data such as pages viewed, approximate location from IP, browser type, and timestamps.
  • Cookies — essential cookies for authentication and, if our affiliate program is enabled, a referral cookie (see Section 5).

Information about third-party businesses

To produce audits and scores, we gather publicly available information about businesses (for example, ratings, review counts, business-profile completeness, and search results) from public sources and authorized APIs. If you are a business owner and wish to inquire about data we hold, contact us (Section 7).

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service, including computing reputation scores and reports;
  • To process subscriptions, payments, and managed-service requests;
  • To send transactional messages (audit reports, alerts, monthly reports, and account notices);
  • To respond to inquiries and provide support;
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, to run the Service:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of application data;
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery;
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management;
  • Resend — sending transactional and report emails;
  • Google (Places & PageSpeed) and our search-data provider — retrieving public business, search, and website-performance data;
  • If our affiliate program is enabled, Rewardful — attributing referrals.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required).

4. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Immutable historical scans are retained as part of your reputation history. You may request deletion as described in Section 6.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. If our affiliate program is active, a first-party referral cookie records which affiliate referred you so commissions can be attributed. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may impair the Service.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at nathan@digitalstrategyinsights.com. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails; we will still send essential account and transactional messages.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data isolation between tenants. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Users

We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process information there. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S. and other locations where our providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new date and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
